Please read this and pass it on to other Michigan riders & residents. (Quoting a letter handed out at Tuesday's 4H Leaders meeting) 4H is need of our help.
As part of the discussions Governor Granholm is having with citizens At town hall forums around the state, she is outlining tough budget cuts she is considering. On the list of cuts for discussions is the elimination of MSU Extension.

This is the parent organization to 4H, and with the funding eliminated, it would mean the end of 4H in our state. You know what a devastating loss this would be for our kids.
You are being asked to help in letting Gov. Granholm, your state representative, and your state senator know what 4H means to you, your family and our community. They need to know how you and other constituents feel about the cuts they are considering.

Please take a moment of your time to do so....Contacts need to be made immediately. The Governor is expected to issue an executive order by the end of this month, and cuts are expected to be in place by Christmas.
Please send a brief letter sending a powerful messages and providing An important voice of concern on behalf of the outstanding 4H program we have.

If you have direct relationships with our legislators, or have an opportunity to meet with them, your message will be even more powerful.
