Student of the Week - Josh Herald

By Alexandra Krayewski (December 2nd, 2002)

This week's student of the week from Fowlerville High School is senior Josh Herald. Josh currently lives with this parents Scott and Judy Herald and his two younger brothers Andy who is 16 and Alex who is 13. When asked to describe his family, Josh said that "he would never give them up  for all the world, they are always there for me and show me so much support."

Josh's current schedule includes computers, calculus, Spanish II, health, college prep, and physics. Josh says that his favorite class is computer programming. When asked who his favorite teacher was, he didn't have to think twice. "Mr. Rains all the way. He is such a cool teacher and has a gift for teaching."

Josh's after school activities are playing football anytime possible and running track.  "Whether it is for the school or just out having fun it really doesn't matter to me."  He loves the sport football more than anything. He said, "there is nothing like having fun slamming people to the ground and willing the game, victory all the way."

After high school Josh would like to go to college at Michigan Tech for chemical engineering. His advice to underclassmen is "enjoy it while you can because when you graduate the had work will come upon you." One think that Josh would change about FHS, if given the opportunity would be to have less homework and have heat in the school." His favorite thing about FHS is that there are good teachers and they are always willing to help.

Josh would like to say, "thank goodness I am graduating this year, I am ready for the real world." Congratulations Josh and best of luck to you.
